What does sprouted mean?

Sprouting grains brings out the full potential of the grain, as it preserves and multiplies the nutrients lying dormant in the rice grain. It works like this: The rice grain is washed and soaked in water for several hours. This is how the grains begin to germinate. The germinated grains are then gently dried for 16 hours.

The preparation: Cooking germinated brown rice

Germinated brown rice does not need to be washed because the rice has already been in water for hours during germination. Apart from that, sprouted brown rice is prepared in the same way as basmati rice – simply bring twice the amount of water to a boil and then simmer on a low heat with the lid closed for 35-40 minutes.
