The coffee plant originally comes from Ethiopia, but now grows around the equator in a wide variety of countries, such as Brazil, Vietnam and Indonesia. Our premium coffee comes from Yirgacheffe, a city in the homeland of the aromatic Arabica coffee, Ethiopia. You can buy it either in whole beans or already ground. And if you want to add even more flavour to your morning coffee, try our range of flavoured coffees: vanilla, chocolate, hazelnut, caramel and cinnamon-cardamom. As you might expect, we remain true to ourselves here too and avoid any artificial flavours – instead, we rely on the full-bodied taste of roasted coffee. Whether you drink your coffee with your breakfast to go or prefer to enjoy it comfortably in bed is up to you – but we can tell you one thing: it's worth ordering our coffee.
But a cup of tea can also work wonders. It's not for nothing that everyone is familiar with the term ‘English breakfast tea’ – this classic is just as much a part of a lot of people's morning routine as coffee. You can buy green tea, matcha or other types of tea such as peppermint from us. And what would a hearty breakfast be without pancakes and French toast? Attention all pancake fans: whether apple pancakes or buckwheat pancakes – the fluffy breakfast dream topped with a sweet spread or nut butter should not be missing from any buffet. French toast is also a true classic that has its place on the breakfast table in many variations. How about our vegan French toast, for example? Finally, we would like to take you into the world of breakfast muffins – a dish that we believe is far too underestimated. Because, as we all know, a pastry a day keeps the sorrows away.

Do it yourself: How to create homemade muesli

All you need to do is take some time to find the right mix, and then you can simply mix and store a larger quantity. This way, your body gets plenty of good nutrients and you avoid unnecessary sugar. A breakfast without carbohydrates or with as few carbohydrates as possible – is that possible? Of course! For example, you can easily replace conventional wheat flour with lower-carbohydrate flours such as almond flour and bake your own low-carb baguette. And even those with a sweet tooth don't have to go without breakfast if they want to eat a low-carb diet. Our tip is chia seeds: This superfood is not only a source of protein, but thanks to its strong swelling properties, it is also very easy to process into chia pudding.

When you're in a hurry: breakfast to go

Having a hearty breakfast is important and good, but each of us also has stressful days when unfortunately you can't sit comfortably at the breakfast table. Breakfast for pregnant women

A balanced and healthy diet is more important than ever during pregnancy, but we probably don't need to tell you that. You can enjoy many classic breakfast dishes such as porridge or muesli during your pregnancy without any problems. There is also nothing wrong with a slice of wholemeal bread with our organic tomato basil spread. Many of our products are made without any additives, artificial colours or preservatives, and are made only from natural ingredients, so you can enjoy many of them without worry. However, to know exactly what is right or wrong for you, it is best to seek medical advice – especially for conditions such as gestational diabetes.

What can my baby eat for breakfast?

As soon as your baby has eaten their midday and evening porridge well and you feel that it is time for breakfast, there is nothing to stop them from enjoying a tasty meal. A classic for this is our organic apple purée: it is perfect for your baby's breakfast, as we deliberately avoid additives or refined sugars in our apple purée. If you like, you can combine the organic apple purée with a mashed banana. In addition to this fruit purée, cereal purées are also a real hit with the youngest members of our society. For example, you can prepare a simple porridge with our oat flakes or use alternative types of grain such as millet. If your baby is not yet able to eat well, you can also puree the porridge. Our tip: if your baby wants something to chew on or you're in a hurry, a chopped avocado is also suitable for breakfast.
