Both oils are derived from coconut oil, which naturally contains medium-chain fatty acids. However, while the organic MCT oil is made from a mix of triglycerides – mainly caprylic acid (octanoic acid) and capric acid (decanoic acid) – this version contains a particularly high proportion of caprylic acid, also known as C8.
