Varieties & origins

White mulberry

The taste of white mulberries is very delicate, and their flesh is sweet and juicy. They are mostly to be found in their dried version, as they don't stay fresh long and spoil quickly.

Originally native to Asia and North America, mulberry trees need warmth to thrive. Since mulberries grow at different speeds, they are not harvested and dried or processed, and sold at the same time. China has the largest cultivation of mulberry trees, with a total of 626,000 hectares. Apart from this, there is hardly any data on the production volumes of mulberries, and our map describes the estimated cultivation of mulberry trees in hectares.

Not so sweet and delicious. Just right

Not so sweet but still delicious. Just right

Taste good, just a little too dry

Taste good, just a little too dry.

Too bad...

The black mulberries never come close to the taste and quality of the white mulberries. It was really surprising - I have never had a bad product from KoRo. This product is not recommended. Hard, dry, little flavor, little sweetness. And worst of all, I find that some of them taste burnt and charred. What happened? The first product I would not buy again.....

Something different, quality is top

Not as sweet as the white ones. Quality is good.

The perfect topping for dessert.

The black sister of the white mulberry, at least as tasty, but not quite as sweet.
