Our recipe does not contain any ingredients that contain gluten. However, as we cannot completely rule out accidental cross-contamination with gluten-containing grains during production, we advise people with coeliac disease or severe gluten intolerance not to consume them. What is the difference between almonds and marzipan?

It’s quite simple: every piece of marzipan was once an almond, but not every almond becomes marzipan! Marzipan is traditionally made by grinding almonds with sugar. The real magic happens at a molecular level: during processing, the plant compound amygdalin transforms into the characteristic flavouring benzaldehyde. It is precisely this transformation that creates the intensely sweet flavour which so distinctly sets marzipan apart from natural almonds.
