Question 1

How much caffeine does a cup of coffee have?

Accepted Answer

Of course, the caffeine content per cup of coffee again depends on many factors. Robusta beans, for example, have a somewhat higher caffeine content than those of the Arabica variety. In addition, the amount of coffee, the degree of roasting and the preparation method all have an influence on the caffeine content. However, it can be roughly said that a cup of coffee contains between 40 and 120 mg of caffeine.

Question 2

How much coffee do I need for a cup of coffee?

Accepted Answer

We can't say that across the board, because everyone likes to drink their coffee differently. Some like it stronger, some a little weaker. As a rough guide, however, we can say: Use about 6 g of coffee powder or coffee beans per 100 ml of beverage.

Question 3

Where do the coffee beans come from?

Accepted Answer

The Arabica beans for our Bio Crema coffee come from Mexico and Peru, while the small proportion of Robusta comes from India. There, the plants are grown in organic farming.

Question 4

Can I drink coffee during pregnancy?

Accepted Answer

Coffee consumption should be kept in mind in any case. Coffee contains an increased amount of caffeine, which may not be good for the development of the baby. Small amounts of up to 200 mg of caffeine (which is equivalent to about 2 cups of coffee) may be okay during pregnancy. However, it is better to discuss this with your gynecologist in advance. Coffee consumption should also be slightly limited during breastfeeding, as a baby can take a little longer to break down the caffeine absorbed through breast milk, due to the fact that some enzymes are still underdeveloped.

Question 5

Is it better to buy coffee beans ground or whole?

Accepted Answer

That depends entirely on whether you own a grinder or not. In general, the fresher the coffee is ground, the more intense and aromatic it tastes. But if you need to go quickly or you do not have a grinder ready, our ground coffee Crema will also serve you faithfully. Super tasty and super practical!
