Question 1

how much protein is in these roasted fava beans?

Accepted Answer

Our fava beans boast a respectable 23 grams of plant-based protein per 100g. What’s more, with 11g of fibre per 100g, they make for a high-fibre snack between meals.

Question 2

How should I store the roasted beans and how long do they keep?

Accepted Answer

The beans are best stored in a cool and dry place, protected from light. When kept in their unopened original packaging, they will keep for 12 months.

Question 3

Are the roasted fava beans vegan?

Accepted Answer

Yes! Although our jalapeño fava beans have a wonderfully savoury, almost smoky undertone, the ingredients list is 100% plant-based. With just four ingredients (fava beans, sunflower oil, jalapeño chilli and sea salt), this fiery snack is the ideal treat for anyone following a plant-based diet — and everyone else too.

Question 4

How spicy are these jalapeño fava beans?

Accepted Answer

Don’t worry, we don’t want to burn your mouth off. The heat level ranges from medium to spicy. The spice blend delivers a typical jalapeño flavour that develops a pleasant, slowly building warmth as you nibble, gently tingling the tip of your tongue. An absolute must for anyone who loves a well-balanced flavour.

Question 5

What makes these fava beans so special?

Accepted Answer

Our fava beans are the ultimate alternative to ordinary crisps. Instead of roasting them in the oven in the traditional way, we use a gentle deep-frying process in sunflower oil. The result is a noticeably denser, more robust crunch and a wonderfully rich mouthfeel. Enhanced with a dry-applied spice blend of sea salt and jalapeño chilli, this snack delivers a pleasant heat.
