Question 1

Do you have any DIY gingerbread recipes?

Accepted Answer

Of course! With the recipes in our Food Journal, the big baking can really start. Try our gingerbread without sugar or the gingerbread marzipan energy balls.

Question 2

Are the gingerbread white or with chocolate?

Accepted Answer

Team Chocolate! Instead of icing, our gingerbreads are coated with dark chocolate.

Question 3

What are the varieties of gingerbread?

Accepted Answer

A basic distinction is made between brown gingerbread and wafer gingerbread. Brown gingerbread is baked from kneadable dough with a relatively high flour content. These include, for example, pepper nuts, gingerbread men, spitzkuchen or our gingerbread hearts. Wafer gingerbreads have a softer consistency. This is due to the fact that they are made from a low-flour or flour-free mass and are sprinkled onto wafers.

Question 4

Is it wafer gingerbread?

Accepted Answer

No, the gingerbread hearts do not have a wafer base, but are coated all around with the finest dark chocolate.

Question 5

Are the gingerbreads sugar free?

Accepted Answer

Our organic gingerbread hearts with cherry filling are sweetened with refined sugar. However, we are also full on sweets without sugar - you can avoid refined sugar, for example, with our recipe for No Bake Gingerbread Brownies.

Question 6

Are the gingerbread with cherry filling vegan?

Accepted Answer

Well sure, we deliver Christmas snacks for all KoRo gnomes!

Question 7

What is the difference between gingerbread and gingerbread?

Accepted Answer

Both terms mean the same pastry. In the east of Germany they speak of gingerbread, this is also where Pulsnitz gingerbread comes from. The name comes from the Middle Ages. At that time all foreign spices were summarized under the term pepper. However, there is no real pepper in the pastry. In southern Germany, the term gingerbread is used instead. The gingerbread center of Nuremberg is best known for fine Nuremberg Elisen gingerbread. In every region, gingerbread is made, spiced and shaped a little differently.

Question 8

How many calories have gingerbread?

Accepted Answer

Our fruity gingerbread hearts contain 377 calories per 100 grams.

Question 9

What is special about KoRo's gingerbread?

Accepted Answer

Gingerbread is only available at Christmas? Not with KoRo! You can enjoy our gingerbread hearts all year round. In addition to organic quality, we are particularly keen on the inner values of our Christmas candy: Our sweet, fruity filling of sour cherry jam is rounded off by a crunchy coating of dark chocolate and fine gingerbread spice. Here every Christmas fan can access, because our organic gingerbread hearts are super delicious and vegan. Make every Christmas bakery competition!

Question 10

Are the gingerbreads gluten-free?

Accepted Answer

The gingerbread contains, among other things, wheat flour and is therefore not gluten-free.
